Breath is a beautiful connection to stimulate this vitally important nerve.
So, this week’s Mindful Moment is bringing awareness to our beautiful breath.
The breath regulates the vital life force energy flowing in the body and is the key to a healthy lifestyle.
Breath is vital to how you feel- mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Research shows controlled breathing is one of the simplest remedies for daily stress. Controlled breathing stimulates the vagus nerve and sends a relaxation signal to the brain.
Just 5 to 10 minutes of conscious breathing can reduce stress and aid sleep.
This week, I encourage you to set a timer to stop and connect to the breath at some point in your day.
Close your eyes, breathe in and out of your nose, and just be. Thoughts will come in but encourage yourself to see the thoughts like passing clouds. Remember, there is no wrong way to embrace this moment.
Think of this break as food for your mind, body, and spirit! Enjoy the nourishment!
